Braised Beef in Tomato-Spice Sauce

Ingredients: 
  • 600 g beef chuck, cut into 2-cm cubes
  • 1 large onion, roughly chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, smashed
  • 400 g canned diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp (Ifvenli) spice blend
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Optional: A pinch of smoky mix
Instructions:
  1. Sear the Beef: In a heavy pot, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Brown the beef cubes in batches.
  2. Sauté Aromatics: Add onion and garlic to the pot; sauté until softened.
  3. Simmer: Stir in the (Ifvenli) blend, then add diced tomatoes and beef broth. Bring to a gentle boil.
  4. Braise: Reduce heat, cover, and let simmer for 1.5–2 hours until the beef is tender.
  5. Finish: If using, stir in a pinch of smoky mix. Serve with mashed potatoes or crusty bread.
