Beef Braise

Ingredients: 
  • 600 g beef chuck, cut into 2-cm cubes
  • 1 large onion, roughly chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, smashed
  • 2 tomatoes, roughly chopped (or 400 g canned diced tomatoes)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp (IheAzu) spice blend
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions:
  1. Sear the Beef: Heat olive oil in a heavy pot over medium-high heat. Brown the beef cubes on all sides.
  2. Sauté Aromatics: Add the onion and garlic; cook until softened.
  3. Simmer: Stir in the (IheAzu) spice blend and tomatoes. Pour in the beef broth, bring to a boil, then reduce heat.
  4. Braise: Cover and let simmer for 1.5–2 hours until the beef is tender.
  5. Finish: Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with rice or crusty bread.
