Braised Pork Shoulder

Ingredients: 
  • 1 kg pork shoulder, cut into chunks
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp (OsoNri) spice blend
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Optional: A light sprinkle of smoky mix
  • Fresh thyme for garnish
Instructions:
  1. Brown Pork: Heat olive oil in a heavy pot over medium-high heat. Brown the pork chunks on all sides.
  2. Sauté Aromatics: Add onion and garlic; cook until they begin to soften.
  3. Simmer: Stir in the (OsoNri) blend and pour in chicken broth. Add smoky mix if desired. Cover and let simmer on low heat for 2–2.5 hours until the pork is melt-in-your-mouth tender.
  4. Finish: Garnish with fresh thyme and serve with mashed potatoes.
