Beef Skillet Hash
Ingredients:
- 500 g beef sirloin, diced into small cubes
- 2 medium potatoes, cubed
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp (Sutu Okpoo) spice blend
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Optional: A dash of smoky mix
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions:
- Sear Beef: In a heavy pot, heat oil over medium-high heat. Brown beef cubes until caramelized.
- Layer Flavours: Add onion, garlic, and ginger paste; sauté until soft. Stir in chopped tomato and the (Sutu Okpoo) blend (plus smoky mix, if desired).
- Cook Rice: Add basmati rice and beef broth. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer on low heat for 20–25 minutes until rice and beef are tender.
- Finish: Fluff with a fork, garnish with mint and coriander, and serve hot.
