Beef Skillet Hash

Ingredients: 
  • 500 g beef sirloin, diced into small cubes
  • 2 medium potatoes, cubed
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp (Sutu Okpoo) spice blend
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Optional: A dash of smoky mix
  • Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions:
  1. Sear Beef: In a heavy pot, heat oil over medium-high heat. Brown beef cubes until caramelized.
  2. Layer Flavours: Add onion, garlic, and ginger paste; sauté until soft. Stir in chopped tomato and the (Sutu Okpoo) blend (plus smoky mix, if desired).
  3. Cook Rice: Add basmati rice and beef broth. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer on low heat for 20–25 minutes until rice and beef are tender.
  4. Finish: Fluff with a fork, garnish with mint and coriander, and serve hot.
