Turkey Tagine with Dried Plums

Ingredients: 
  • 500 g turkey thigh meat, cut into chunks
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 2 tbsp (Umimi) spice blend
  • 1 cup turkey or vegetable broth
  • 100 g dried plums, halved
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Optional: A pinch of smoky mix
  • Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
  1. Sear Turkey: In a heavy pot, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Brown turkey chunks on all sides.
  2. Add Aromatics: Add onion, garlic, and ginger; sauté until softened.
  3. Combine: Stir in the (Umimi) blend and dried plums, then pour in broth and optional smoky mix.
  4. Simmer: Cover and simmer on low heat for 1–1.5 hours until turkey is tender.
  5. Serve: Garnish with parsley and serve with couscous or flatbread.
