Turkey Tagine with Dried Plums
Ingredients:
- 500 g turkey thigh meat, cut into chunks
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- 2 tbsp (Umimi) spice blend
- 1 cup turkey or vegetable broth
- 100 g dried plums, halved
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Optional: A pinch of smoky mix
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
- Sear Turkey: In a heavy pot, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Brown turkey chunks on all sides.
- Add Aromatics: Add onion, garlic, and ginger; sauté until softened.
- Combine: Stir in the (Umimi) blend and dried plums, then pour in broth and optional smoky mix.
- Simmer: Cover and simmer on low heat for 1–1.5 hours until turkey is tender.
- Serve: Garnish with parsley and serve with couscous or flatbread.
