How it started
Ever found yourself swept away by a wave of nostalgia? Those cherished moments of childhood, unforgettable travels, joyous events, or the comforting pull of homesickness?
This is our story.

We are a group of people of African heritage and ancestry, comprising of friends and families, living far away from the land of the sun, our home. On several occasions when we meet up, such as for parties, barbeques, or just generally hanging out and socialising, we have lots of scrumptious tasty foods and try to recreate the foods of our ancestors from our homeland.
We often notice that there are differences in tastes, aroma and texture between our original home foods and the ones we have recreated. This is largely because we are using locally sourced ingredients similar to that of our homeland, and substitutes where we cannot find any similar local ones.

We will always reminisce about the original foods so much so that we can taste them (in our spirit). We unconsciously look to our ancestors to help bring us these foods and are eager for our next visit home to quench our appetite.
On one of these occasions, the idea was born. How can we improve (with higher accuracy) the recreation of these foods that we miss to be as similar to that of our ancestors? We went to work.

We identified suitable high quality ingredients and substitutes that are comparable to the originals. We modified the preparation to cater for the change in ingredients, whilst doing taste comparison test with original foods. We succeeded in achieving this and enjoyed the results. During the design process we also developed new foods that are a combination of local and African cuisine.

We noticed that more and more people wanted to enjoy our foods and they were making special requests from us. We then decided to share with the world the foods we have created with so much diligence, attention and love.
This results in our products being released to the public in gradual stages, to ensure the high quality is maintained and you get the best.
