Beef Braise
Ingredients:
- 600 g beef chuck, cut into 2-cm cubes
- 1 large onion, roughly chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, smashed
- 2 tomatoes, roughly chopped (or 400 g canned diced tomatoes)
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp (IheAzu) spice blend
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions:
- Sear the Beef: Heat olive oil in a heavy pot over medium-high heat. Brown the beef cubes on all sides.
- Sauté Aromatics: Add the onion and garlic; cook until softened.
- Simmer: Stir in the (IheAzu) spice blend and tomatoes. Pour in the beef broth, bring to a boil, then reduce heat.
- Braise: Cover and let simmer for 1.5–2 hours until the beef is tender.
- Finish: Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with rice or crusty bread.
